Help for Children and Teens

As parenting styles have changed through the decades parents have sometimes become confused about how to raise kids that will grow to be good people. For those who also work there seems to be pressure related to doing it all well.
Parenting can be especially challenging when children need special attention or structure, as in those with ADD. This structure is offered as well as the extra support needed to make family life more enjoyable.
Many children experience anxiety or depression in response to the challenges of their lives. Having a place to express feely and then learn better ways of coping can make a huge difference. Since children are accustomed to learning new things, they often make surprising progress once they learn the new skills they need to adapt to their changing lives.
As clinical director and supervisor at a school for emotionally disturbed adolescents Cynthia Brody gained experience which is utilized in the treatment of children and teens.

Dealing with Aging Parents
Aging parents. With our love for them comes responsibilities and stress.
As life expectancy increases, many find themselves caring for those who used to care for them. Often this is a new world without a map and can create tremendous stress and sadness. Having somewhere to share these feelings as well as problem-solve can make this life transition more tolerable. In these cases, self-care can make the difference between being there for an elderly parent in health or feeling crushed by the responsibility.
